What is a Level 2 electrician, and when do I need one?
A Level 2 electrician is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) authorised to work on the electricity network side of your meter. You need one for new connections, consumer mains, overhead or underground service lines, private power poles, meter work and single to three phase upgrades. Kmelectric & Security is Level 2 accredited for classes 2A to 2D.

Can you install an EV charger at my home?
Yes. We install home EV chargers for Tesla, BYD and other electric vehicles. We check your switchboard and power supply first, and upgrade them if needed.
When should I upgrade my switchboard?
Consider a switchboard upgrade if your home still has ceramic fuses, has no safety switches, trips often, or needs to power new appliances, an EV charger or solar. A licensed electrician can inspect it and advise on the safest option.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. We provide commercial electrical services for offices, shops, warehouses and strata buildings. That includes fit-outs, LED high-bay lighting, emergency and exit lighting, test and tag, and maintenance.
What warranty do you offer?
All our work comes with a lifetime labour warranty, and parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The job isn't finished until you're happy with it.
